Parry Associates has been granted a patent (No. GB 2425290 B) for its concept of a flywheel bogie for rail vehicles, a development of the company’s existing intellectual property behind the Parry People Movers venture.

We have been in contact recently with a Professor at a University in Valencia in Spain who is very interested in purchasing an electric block making machine for use in his department at the University. It is currently closed until September 1st when he expects the order to be placed.

EL SALVADOR

Begeca, a German NGO with projects in Africa have ordered a 400-mould rooftile plant and have also been quoted for a list of spares for a customer of theirs in El Salvador, South America, where roof production looks to be active again. Parry Associates have previously supplied a similar plant for the same people 7 years ago. We have also had enquiries from other countries in South America.

A recent customer who is a Canadian national has asked for a new quote for paving blocks (dog10) which he intends to manufacture and sell locally in Djibouti alongside Super Roman rooftiles and water tanks. It looks as if things are going to get quite busy in East Africa.

ANGOLA

A UK-based Angolan national has visited the office and workshop here at Cradley Heath. After viewing our product range and receiving a demonstration he has put in a good-size order for equipment to produce roof tiles, hollow blocks, water tanks, weight/material saving ceilings/floors, kerb moulds together with some spares for his project in Angola.

In collaboration with our Kenyan director Nick Evans, Parry Associates are currently developing a number of moulds, large and small, which when put together, will form the abutments and surface of a bridge to span rivers in developing countries, starting with Kenya close to Kaputei where a large tract of houses are being built.
