LOCAL RAIL TRANSPORT - THE POSITIVE WAY AHEAD
Parry Associates and Parry People Movers Ltd have issued a joint press release following publication of the UK Government's consultation on railway closure processes. The document specifically refers to the need to examine all options, including "reducing the cost of the service by using shorter or lighter trains" before analysing a proposed closure, and even includes a worked example exploring the option of applying "community rail partnership" techniques. These concepts match Parry Associates' concepts for high-quality, affordable, environment-friendly transport. The experience gained in project management of the PPM operation at Stourbridge has given Parry Associates unequalled knowledge in the introduction of innovation to the railway industry. |

A demonstration was set up in our workshops and they saw how to make Semi sheet rooftiles, Ridge tiles, Floor tiles, Waffles(Coffers) and Column Blocks on electric and hand-powered machines.
