News just received from Mozambique with before and after pictures showing mud built school classroom on the Limpopo flood plain and a new Parry "high school", flood refuge doubling as classroom block. Being built by the Wesleyan Methodist Church.

We are receiving evidence of new success from the field especially in disaster and war zones such as Honduras, where Parry technicians Steve Raggett and James Parry trained locals in the use of Parry equipment and roof building during July of this year. Our associate David Wheeler has reported further success stories from Albania and an agency in Sri Lanka, GTZ (German Technical Cooperation) is successfully implementing a rehabilitation project and subsequently, Mark Parry was asked, by the GTZ, to provide an assessment and training programme in July/August 1999 following an earlier visit by Steve Raggett to local Parry agents HDL Development (PVT) Ltd. |

Despite the unsettled and potentially dangerous situation in Sierra Leone, following the result of a request from the Methodist Church of Sierra Leone, MRDF have allocated funds for 3 hand powered, multi-product plants which are intended for Freetown, but may move up country. Methodist work teams will be able to produce Semi Sheets, hollow concrete blocks and curved blocks for the construction of Water Tanks.

Consignments of building material production equipment has recently been sent to Angola - an order we received from a Christian Missionary organisation who intend for it to be used as part of a resettlement and rehabilitation programme. |

Don Bosco have ordered, through a the German Procurement Agent, a roofing tile plant to be supplied to their base in Monrovia. The same German Agent has just sent equipment to Ghana and currently has two more orders in progress for hand powered machinery intended for Liberia and Cameroon. |
